A total of 81 points decided the two games that took place inside of the Pella High School gym last night, in a basketball doubleheader heard live on 92.1 KRLS. The Lady Dutch downed Bondurant-Farrar in the opener, 63 – 39. Pella used a 23-point third quarter to seize control of the game. Jessica Holterhaus and Mackenzie Gustafson led all scorers with 14 points as the Pella girls improve to 5 – 2. The rout was on for the Little Dutch against the Blue Jays, as they wiped out Bondurant-Farrar, 97 – 40. Ten different players scored for Pella, five of them ended with double figures, and their bench contributed 57 of those 97 tallies. Ryan Van Wyk had 16, Jack Meyer 14, Jackson Scholten threw in 13, and Grant Judkins and Garret Jansen each had 11. The Little Dutch improve to 4 – 2 on the season, and both teams have a big doubleheader to close out their 2014 part of the schedule on Friday at Pella Christian.
