A big very early season test awaits Pella High’s girls’ and boys’ basketball teams in Carlisle tonight. The Lady Dutch have played in just one “game,” if you want to call it that, this season; an 80 – 10 thumping Des Moines North last week. The Wildcats, however, have played a whopping three games already, with wins over Des Moines Christian, Bondurant-Farrar, and Ankeny. This will be the season debut for both boys’ teams. Carlisle has many seniors and several can shoot the ball for a high percentage from beyond the arc, which is something Coach Mark Core says his team will have to defend well tonight. Tonight’s doubleheader will be streamed live on KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema on the play-by-play. Pre-game coverage is schedule to start at 5:45 p.m. with tip-off of the girls’ game at six.
