A Pella man faces a felony charge after an early morning arrest in Pella.

After 4:30 a.m. this morning, the Pella Police Department responded to an apartment at 1010 Washington Street to follow up on an accidental 911 call. The caller, 21 year old Austin Anderson met officers at the door. The responding officer was aware of an outstanding Marion County arrest warrant for Anderson, so he placed him in custody. After his arrest, officers found a white substance in a bag on his person that field tested positive for cocaine. Police say during a subsequent search of Anderson’s apartment they found a television that was reported as stolen in September. Anderson faces charges of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, a Class C Felony, and 3rd Degree Theft.
