tulip planting

The staff at the Pella Parks Department is looking forward to some new features coming to Central Park next year.

Community Services Director Jeanette Vaughan says they had a successful year of tulip planting, with more than 105,000 bulbs planted in city parks and street beds. She says the new feature this year is a “Tulip Lane,” which will feature dozens of different varieties downtown. She says they also plan to bring back the popular sculpture feature again in the summer of 2015, with artwork based on famous literary works.
