Therese Spaulding

A not guilty plea has been entered by a Knoxville woman facing felony drug charges.

40-year-old Therese Marie Spaulding was arrested earlier this month after being stopped by Knoxville Police because she was thought to be in violation of her work permit driver’s license. During the traffic stop, a Knoxville police officer discovered a pill bottle in Spaulding’s purse that contained 25 Oxycodone pills wrapped in cellophane.

Spaulding has been charged with Failure to Affix a Drug Tax Stamp on a Taxable Substance, a Class D Felony, and Possession of Oxycodone, a Schedule Two Controlled Substance, First Offense. She’s scheduled to be arraigned on Tuesday, January 6th.
