The Pleasantville girl’s basketball team came up just short at home on Tuesday night as they fell to Wayne 42-32. The Lady Trojans led at the half 24-23, but had a cold shooting second half where they hit just three shots from the field. Kennedy Core and Kelsee Van Haalen each scored nine points for Pleasantville as they fall to 1-3 on the year. The Pleasantville boy’s basketball team picked up their first Pride of Iowa conference win on Tuesday night 67-42 over Wayne, both games were heard on kniakrls.com. The Trojans had three players in double figures as Josh Luna led the way with a game high 16 points, as they improve to 2-1 on the year. Pleasantville head coach Tom Wilkins was happy with how his team distributed the ball in the win. Both teams will be in action at home on Friday night to take on Martensdale-St. Marys.
