Two stiff challenges are waiting for Pleasantville basketball tonight in Truro. No, they won’t be dropping anvils from the ceiling or have secret catapults waiting to hurl them out of the gym, but the I-35 Roadrunners do bring two formidable teams to the hardwood to face the Trojans. I-35’s girls are 4 – 2 on the year, and are led by a dynamite sophomore named Gracey Griglione, who is averaging nearly 21 points per game through six contests. For the boys, both the Roadrunners and Trojans are sitting on a 3 – 1 record, and Pleasantville coach, Tom Wilkins, says his team will need to step up their “D” tonight. Wilkins adds his team has not yet played their best basketball and hopes they start getting into more of a groove here soon.
