Twin Cedars’ girls’ basketball team has gotten off to a 2 – 6 start, and have stayed competitive in most of their losses. What has helped the Sabers stay close even in their setbacks has been their defense. Coach Malloree Grove says she has been preaching more of a zone coverage to her gals as the beginning of the season has churned along. Grove adds the team needs to find more consistency on offense; Twin Cedars has scored at least 50 points only twice this year, but have shot the ball well from the outside, making 40% of their attempts from the perimeter. The Sabers are off until January 6 when they head to Iowa Christian Academy for a Bluegrass Conference clash.
