The Pleasantville girl’s basketball team kicked off last night with a 52-45 road victory over Melcher-Dallas. The game was back and forth as Pleasantville was able to pull away at the end and Kennedy Core led the way for the Lady Trojans with 18 points. Pleasantville moves to 1-1 on the year. In the nightcap, the Pleasantville boys’ basketball team rolled to a 74-36 road win over Melcher-Dallas, both games were heard on kniakrls.com. The Trojans jumped out to a 28-2 lead and never looked back. Pleasantville had four players in double figures as Zeb Adreon led the way with 16 points. Pleasantville head coach Tom Wilkins talked about his team’s depth and athleticism in the win. The Trojans are now 1-0 on the year and will continue action on the road Friday night against Central Decatur.
