Pleasantville’s wrestling team came away winners in two Pride of Iowa Conference duals last night. The Trojans began with a 57 – 12 win over Nodaway Valley. Sawyer Phillips and Joe Kauffman came away with pins in that victory. Martensdale – St. Mary’s also fell to Pleasantville, 60 – 18. The Trojans were able to easily capitalize on nine open weights from the Blue Devils. Sawyer Phillips had Pleasantville’s lone win in the four weight classes that actually did wrestle. He picked up a fall at the 5:03 mark. Full results are below. The Trojans next have a varsity tournament tonight at Central Decatur.
