Beat Cancer Today

When the Pella and Pella Christian basketball teams hit the floor at Pella High School Friday, one local woman envisions a gym filled with people dedicated to beating childhood cancer.
Kathy Bruxvoort with Beat Cancer Today has a daughter is a survivor of the disease. She says a group of parents came together to bring the idea of “Beat Cancer” t-shirts to the CyHawk rivalry games, and the idea has now spread to high schools in Iowa. She says there is a great need for funding to support families and research for treatments aimed at children. T-shirts are available for $5 at both Pella and Pella Christian High Schools, with 100% of the money going towards support of children in Iowa with cancer.
Shirts will also be sold tonight at the Pella vs Pella Christian JV game at Pella High School.
