The Central men’s and women’s basketball teams step foot onto the hardwood for the first time in 2015 this afternoon, and they’ll do so while wrapping up their non-conference schedule at the same time against Bethany Lutheran. The Vikings women have just one win on the year, and that’s over Waldorf. They have also battled with Central’s Iowa Conference foes, Buena Vista and Wartburg. Bethany Lutheran has had problems scoring in the first half; averaging only 25 points through 20 minutes of action this season. The Vikings men will be playing their fourth straight Iowa Conference team, having already lost to Dubuque, the Knights, and to the Beavers, with a meet-up with Coe ahead of them tomorrow. Bethany Lutheran’s men have also had their struggles this year, as they haven’t recorded a win, and they, too, average just 26 tallies per game in the first half.
