Pella Christian basketball is back in action for two separate games this afternoon. The Lady Eagles are fresh off a narrow win over Norwalk on Tuesday, and hope to build off of that with a win over Earlham, who is 2 – 8 this year, and shoot an abysmal 29% from the field. Coach Kevin Van Maanen says he would like to see his girls to continue to grow tonight. Pella Christian’s boys hope to take advantage of an Albia team that is on short rest; the Blue Demons fell yesterday to Knoxville, who has handed them their only losses this year. The Eagles were knocked out of the playoffs in the district final last year by Albia, and bring back Matt Baker, who is averaging nearly 23 points per game for his squad this season. PC’s boys will tip-off first in Albia at 5:00 p.m. while the girls’ game is scheduled to start at 5:30.
