Habitat for Humanity of Marion County was recently awarded a USDA Rural Development Housing Preservation Grant of more than $20,000.

Executive Director Lisa Crabbs says they plan to use the funds to build off of their previous repair program and complete three rehabs in Marion County. She says the money is important because it will help to fund 30 to 40 percent of those projects.
Crabbs says they plan to have their first rural Knoxville home completed in April and two other homes, one in Knoxville and one in Pella, completed by late summer.
