The Knoxville City Council voted earlier this week to give City Manager Harold Stewart a six-year contract extension.

Stewart’s contract with the city had previously called for it to be renewed annually. He says there is still a lot that needs to be accomplished in Knoxville over the next several years and he looks forward to working with the city council, staff, and the community on making a positive difference throughout the city.
Stewart adds he and his family real enjoy living in Knoxville and they’ve become well-acclimated to the community.
