The Knoxville School Board heard from students Jenna Kauzlarich, Sierra Findley, and Sammantha Smith as they recapped their trip to the National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Convention in Louisville, KY, this past November.

Knoxville School Superintendent Cassi Murra says the FFA allows students to step out of their comfort zone and gain leadership skills. She also echoed the sentiments of the students that it’s not just for farm children.
The group told the board their trip included facility tours, listening to keynote speakers, and attending workshops, as well as a career fair. They were there to support Abby Potthoven, who earned her American Degree at the event.
