The Knoxville Girls Basketball Squad suffered their first loss of the season Saturday to class 4A number four ranked Carlisle 52-43. The Wildcats held the lead for much of the game at one point by as much as 17 points. Knoxville would close the gap to eight midway through the fourth quarter, but a 7-0 run by Carlisle ended Knoxville’s hopes. Coach Jim Uitermarkt told KNIA/KRLS Sports missed free throws and lay ups were contributing factors to the loss. Knoxville is now 11-1 on the season and has a busy week with three home games starting With Oskaloosa.
