On paper, tonight games involving Knoxville and Clarke look to be easy wins for the Panthers. However, Panthers girls coach Jim Uitermarkt says just stepping on the floor does not guarantee his team victory tonight. Coupled with that, the Panthers found out they now appear in the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union weekly 4A rankings at #15 this week. Knoxville is 10-0 while Clarke is at the opposite end of the spectrum at 0-12. Knoxville outscored its opponents the last two games a combined 133-78, while Clarke has been outscored 118-49 in that span. Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his girls have found different ways to win all season. The boys also come in with momentum after reclaiming first place in the South Central Conference last Friday in a win over Albia. You can hear the play-by-play on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA, and streamed live at kniakrls.com starting at six.
