The Knoxville Basketball Squads pulled off a sweep of Oskaloosa last night as the girls won 48-35 and the boys prevailed 58-48. The girls came out flat but managed to go on a 10-0 run to end the third quarter to gain control of the game. The Panthers were led by Meredith Cunningham who scored 16 points. Coach Jim Uitermarkt told KNIA/KRLS the girls came out flat, but a win is a win. The boys earned a hard-fought 58-48 win over the Indians. Knoxville’s Austin Little had the game of his life rebounding the ball. The Panthers outrebounded the Indians 42-13, and only turned the ball over nine times. Noland Wallace led the Panthers with 15 points. The Knoxville girls are now 12-1 on the season and the boys improve to 9-3. Knoxville will host Davis County on Friday.
