The Pella High girls’ basketball team has learned quite a bit about themselves through eight games.
They’ve found out that their defense is sharp, and they do a great job at rebounding the ball; the Lady Dutch are second in the state in Class 4A in rebounds per game with an average of about 39 boards per contest. There are many things still to work on, says Coach Jerod Garland, if his team is going to still be playing ball when March gets here. One of those things to work on, Garland says, is shooting the ball better and fewer turnovers. The Lady Dutch are off until Friday when they play host to Norwalk to resume their season.
