The Marion County Board of Supervisors talked with landowners about the potential Attica-Pershing Sewer project at a special meeting Tuesday evening.

Board President Mark Raymie says the purpose of the special session was to ask landowners to consider proposals from the county about acquiring land for the project, as well as to keep them in the loop about the process and what is needed to complete the project.
Three potential sites for a lagoon were discussed during the meeting. Garden & Associates, LTD Vice-President Mark Fincel, who has been assisting the county with this $4.1 million dollar project, says it could be completed by the end of 2016, if the land needed is signed off by landowners and surveyed quickly.
The board asked all interested landowners to respond to the county’s option agreement by Tuesday, January 27th.
