It’s National Radon Awareness Month and Marion County Environmental Health Program Manager Cory Frank says it’s important people understand why it’s important to test for radon.

Frank says it’s a silent killer due to the fact that you can neither see nor smell it and the only way to find out if radon is affecting your home, school, or business is to test for it.
Frank says Marion County Public Health plans to have a workshop on radon awareness in February that will have free radon test kits available.
