Twenty turnovers proved to be costly for the PCM girls’ basketball team as they fell to Gilbert yesterday, 44 – 39. The Mustangs shot just 28% from the field for the game. Rachel Freland came up with 15 points for the Mustangs, who are now 7 – 3 on the year, and the loss is their first in the Heart of Iowa Conference this season. Trey Lindsey for the PCM boys nailed a shot from five feet beyond the arc at the buzzer to win it for the Mustangs over the Tigers, 53 – 52. Trey Lindsay scored 25 points in the win and PCM improves to 7 – 2 on the year. PCM is off until Tuesday when they play at Greene County.
