PCM’s basketball teams have also had the “luxury” of a slow week thanks to the weather. After getting their bout with Nevada on Tuesday postponed to January 22, the Mustangs will try to pick up where they left off tonight with the first of four straight road games starting with Gilbert. The Tigers’ girls have been inconsistent on offense; scoring an average of almost 51 points in their five wins, but only 31 per game in their four losses. PCM’s girls enter 7 – 2 overall and are unblemished in conference play. The Mustang boys have won five straight and are 6 – 2 overall, but face a challenge going up against an undefeated Tigers’ squad, that averages about 69 points per game through seven affairs. Tonight’s doubleheader at Gilbert will tip-off at 6:00 p.m. with the girls’ game first.
