The Pella Christian girls are trying to find ways to get the basketball in the hoop as they look to end a four game losing streak on Friday against Newton. It’s a run that sees the Eagles averaging just under 27 points per game. Senior Tessa Howerzyl is questionable to make her return as she recovers from an ankle sprain suffered two weeks ago. Head Coach Kevin Van Maanen says Tessa’s return is likely a key to righting the ship. Van Maanen has been pleased with the way the team has battled on defense during the skid, and he hopes the tough D continues through the rest of the season. The 7-6 Eagles join the 8-4 boys as they take on conference opponent Newton for Homecoming.
