Melcher-Dallas basketball wound up on the wrong end of two lopsided scores on Tuesday night. The Saints’ girls fell 71 – 35; Kirsten Mull scored ten points all in the first quarter, and Megan Roush contributed 12. The Saints’ boys were doubled up, 82 – 41. Twin Cedars’ gals were upended, 73 – 38, but the guys clobbered the Mohawks, 97 – 60. Cam Arkema scored 32, Otis Roby had 21, and Trenton Bacus put in a double-double with 12 points and 14 rebounds. The Bluegrass Conference tournament brackets will be out soon, but first, both schools must tackle opponents on Friday; the Saints host Diagonal, and the Sabers are at Mormon Trail.
