The Pleasantville girls’ basketball team has had its struggles this season as they are coming off of 72-20 defeat at home on Tuesday night to Central Decatur. The Lady Trojans are 1-7 on the year and have played a tough Pride of Iowa Conference schedule to start. The Pleasantville girls are back in action tonight as they take on 7-1 Nodaway Valley on the road. Kennedy Core has been the bright spot for the Lady Trojans this year averaging 15.4 points per game and freshman Kelsey Van Haalen has also played well for Pleasantville averaging 8.4 points per game. The Pleasantville boys’ basketball team has had its ups and downs through their first seven games of the year as they are 4-3. The Trojans are coming off a hard fought home loss on Tuesday night to Central Decatur 60-51. The offensive production from the Pleasantville seniors has been there this year as Josh Luna and Trevor Zoss are averaging double figure scoring and junior Zeb Adreon is averaging 11.8 points per game. Head coach Tom Wilkins spoke about the keys things they have worked on in practice.
