Approximately 30 residents have been affected by a water main break in Knoxville.

Brian Bailey from Knoxville Water Works told KNIA/KRLS News they received a report around 7am this morning about a possible water main break near the 1400 block of West Pleasant Street. Crews were at the scene and water could be seen bubbling up through the pavement.
Bailey says water will be turned off for residents along West Pleasant between the 1100 and 1500 blocks, as well as Desmond Street. He anticipates the water to be turned back on later today.
Marion County Public Health Environmental Services Cory Frank says the homes affected will have a boil advisory in effect for at least 24 hours until testing is complete, or until notified by Knoxville Water Works.
