There are just two weeks left in the regular season for the Central basketball teams, and they’ll be playing in their second-to-last road game tonight when they head to Cedar Rapids for a clash with Coe. The Dutch were swept at home by the Kohawks a few weeks ago; the women dropped by ten, but took care of the ball, and were without the help of Rachel Evans, who played and started in both of Central’s games last week. On the men’s side, Coe had a furious late rally against the Dutch that resulted in an overtime win for the visitors, and Coach Craig Douma says he hopes his guys hunker down on defense tonight. Central’s men are 4 – 6 in the Iowa Conference and are hoping to continue a push towards a first round home game in the league tourney in three weeks. This evening’s festivities are scheduled to tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
