The Central wrestling team routed Simpson last night, 36 – 12, to put a wrap on their dual season. The Dutch actually got out to a 27 – 0 lead after five matches and had it in the bag from there, thanks to a pair of forfeits. Central’s dual record winds up at 8 – 4, and they finished 3 – 4 in the Iowa Conference, which could put them into a three-way tie for fourth, their highest placing since 1995 where they were third. A group of Dutch grapplers will participate in the Jim Fox Invitational in Dubuque tomorrow, before resting up for the NCAA Division III Central Regional in Dubuque on February 27 and 28.
