Knowing they are in the postseason tournament for sure, the Central men’s basketball team now has their sights set on a higher seed and perhaps a home game, with step one being to knock off Loras in the Tulip City tonight. The Duhawks knocked off the Dutch about a month ago, 83 – 71. Nile Eckermann had a career-high 35 points in that loss, while they allowed Loras to shoot 50% from the field. Central can clinch a number four seed and a first round home playoff game if they win both their contests this week with the Duhawks and Wartburg on Saturday. Central’s women hope to find a win as well against a team they rallied but fell short to in January. Tonight’s doubleheader inside the P.H. Kuyper Gymnasium will tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
