Facing some of the top talent in the area, Central’s men’s tennis team came up short to a pair of schools in Grinnell on Saturday. The men fell to Division II Augustana, 9 – 0, and to regionally-ranked Grinnell, 8 – 1. The lone victory for the Dutch came from the doubles team of West Adelman and Tim Kahl, defeating the Pioneers, 9 – 8 in a tie-breaking set. Central is back at home next Saturday for a bout against Roosevelt of Illinois at 1:00 p.m. inside the Kuyper Fieldhouse.
