Tristan Clark set out to do what every high school wrestler dreams of and wrestle in front of 13,000 people for the chance at a state championship. Clark has that opportunity tonight, as he defeated the number two wrestler in Class 2A at 126 pounds on Friday night. Clark summed up how he was feeling in one short sentence. Clark won his match in a decision 9-6 over Bryce Severson of Camanche. Clark will look to take down number one rated Ryan Lesure of Clear Lake to become the first ever state champion at PCM. Brock Caviness of Knoxville has had himself a very nice tournament, as he won his first match on Friday by fall, then fell to Gavin Dinsdale of Webster City by decision 6-1. Caviness will wrestle for seventh place today against Kyle Davis of Columbus-Winfield-Mount Union.
