Too far out to talk about a conference title, the Pella Christian basketball teams will try to gather some steam towards the postseason starting tonight when Grinnell heads into the Eagles’ nest. The last time they played the Tigers, PC was without Tessa Howerzyl and were only able to muster 24 points in a losing effort. The Eagles have won four of their last six contests. Pella Christian’s boys fell to Grinnell in mid-January by seven in a low-scoring affair. Coach Larry Hessing says they are playing for more than momentum this evening. The Tigers have been inconsistent on offense, and come in averaging only 54 points per game. Tonight’s doubleheader can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com with Cory Houser and Jay Schelhaas calling the play-by-play. Pre-game coverage is set to begin at 6:00 p.m. with tip-off at 6:15. There will be a delayed broadcast on 92.1 KRLS immediately following the Pella High – Newton boys’ game.
