Knoxville continues its late-season tour of the Little Hawkeye Conference. Tonight the Panthers board the bus to Grimes to take on Dallas Center-Grimes in a girls/boys double header. The girls are coming of a 45-39 win over Pella Christian where the Panthers did not play their best but relied on their defense to preserve the win. Coach Jim Uitermarkt tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this game and Friday’s game with Grinnell will get his team ready for the upcoming postseason. The boys will have to contend with one of the better post players in the L-H-C in six foot nine Austin Rix of Dallas Center-Grimes. Knoxville is looking to stop a two-game losing streak and gain some momentum going into the districts in a few weeks. The Panthers found out yesterday they will travel to Carlisle and play Norwalk in the first round. You can hear tonight’s games on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and streamed live on kniakrls.com at six with Derek Cardwell and Mike Cunningham.
