The portrait painted by the Knoxville and Pella Christian Girls Basketball Squads last night would not have been Van Gogh approved, but the Panthers walked away with a 45-39 win over the Eagles last night in a game heard on AM 1320 and 95.3 KNIA and 92.1 KRLS. Both teams struggled from the field and the Panthers turned the ball over 25 times, but played consistent defense and turned on the offense in the fourth quarter. Coach Jim Uitmermarkt told KNIA/KRLS while it was not pretty, he was glad his team turned it on at the right time. Ashley Hawkshead lead all scorers with 20 points, Brooke Mitrisin led the Eagles with 12 points. Knoxville improves to 17-2 and will travel to Dallas Center-Grimes, while Pella Christian is now 12-8
