With the season dwindling down, Pella High’s basketball teams make their way to Norwalk tonight, with major implications in regards to conference championships on the line. On the girls’ side, the Lady Dutch can clinch no worse than a share of the Little Hawkeye Conference title with a win over the Warriors. Norwalk has just three wins on the season, and just recently were edged by Pella Christian on Tuesday, 37 – 32. The Little Dutch and Norwalk boys are each 7 – 2 in the league, and it was Pella that won the first meet-up between these two teams in early January by 19 points, holding 6’10” senior, Baylee Steele, to six points and five fouls. Coach Mark Core says the Warriors have been dangerous from beyond the arc lately, but they still haven’t swayed from their roots. Norwalk, of course, is fresh off of a five overtime thriller with the Eagles on Tuesday. Tonight’s doubleheader can be heard live on KNIAKRLS.com, with Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema on the call. Pre-game coverage begins at 6:00 p.m. with tip-off at 6:15. There will be a delayed broadcast on 92.1 KRLS immediately following the Pella Christian – Knoxville broadcast.
