Finishing the regular season with 11 wins in their final 12 games, the Pleasantville boys’ basketball team starts their jaunt through the Class 1A district tournament this evening on the road against Iowa Christian Academy. The Trojans’ opponents tonight have stumbled down the stretch, having lost their last four. The Blazers don’t shoot many outside shots, but when they do, they’re accurate; sinking over 39% of their threes this season. Coach Tom Wilkins says there’s no secret about his team’s game plan against Iowa Christian. Despite averaging under 56 points per game their last seven outings, Pleasantville’s defense has been stellar, giving up about 52 per contest in that same span.
