Melcher-Dallas’ boys came up just a bit short to Orient-Macksburg on a neutral site yesterday, falling in Bussey by a final of 59 – 44. Chase Wetterling put together another fantastic performance, scoring 24 points and recording ten blocks. The Saints are now 0 – 18 on the season, and they’ll join back up with the girls to play Twin Cedars later on today. It’s also the two schools’ annual Coaches vs. Cancer event, with several events planned, including a silent auction, to raise money and awareness for cancer research. The girls’ game of the doubleheader between the Saints and Sabers will tip-off at 6:00 p.m.
