A dominating offense and hard-working defense gets back to work tonight in Oskaloosa, when Pella High’s boys’ basketball team tries to sidestep Chariton in their Class 3A district final. These two teams have not faced since January 17, 2012, where Pella won 78 – 59. The Little Dutch are averaging 84 points per game over their last nine contests, and will be taking on a Charger team that has two guys averaging over 20 per game individually, plus a third that puts up almost 11 himself. Coach Mark Core says the defense will be tested trying to slow down five talented starters. Cory Houser and Randy Sikkema are back on the call tonight in Mahaska County live on 92.1 KRLS and KNIAKRLS.com, with pre-game coverage starting at 6:30 p.m. and tip-off at 7:00.
