Pleasantville’s girls came up a bit short to a very talented I-35 basketball team, dropping 60 – 31. Coach Aaron Fichter tells KNIA/KRLS Sports his team played well, but the Roadrunners are just very tough. Kennedy Core led her Trojans with 14 points. The Trojan boys, even with some key injuries, edged I-35, 65 – 62. The Pleasantville bench scored 21 key points in the win, and the team was led by Trever Zoss’ 18. Pleasantville’s ladies fall to 5 – 14, while the boys’ record swells to 12 – 6. Both teams are at home again on Friday to take on Mount Ayr.
