PCM senior Tristan Clark needed a last second takedown in sudden victory to move on to the Class 2A 126 pound quarterfinal on Friday. Clark was in a tight match for seven minutes, but with just seconds left in sudden victory, he was able to get a takedown and keep a foot inbounds to seal the match. Knoxville junior, Brock Caviness, at 285 pounds came up just short in his first match of the day, falling in a 4-0 decision to number two rated Mario Pena of Hampton-Dumont. Caviness stayed alive in the tournament as he picked up a pin in the third period. He trailed 8-7 before he tossed Nathan Heath the number six-rated wrestler at 285 to his back for the win. Senior Kevin Woodhouse from Knoxville saw his season come to an end as he suffered two losses during the afternoon session.
