They may have lacked in the way of number of seniors last year, but that did not hold the Pella High girls’ track and field team back from accomplishing many things in 2014 and qualifying numerous events for state. A good chunk of that experience is back this year for Coach Dak Rasmussen and his Lady Dutch, who showed some impressive things at the Central indoor meet this past weekend. Coach Rasmussen feels that this could be a special season. Rasmussen adds that that depth will really come into play when they try qualifying events for the Drake Relays and for the state track meet in May. The Lady Dutch are currently prepping for their first outdoor meet of the season which is one week from today at Southeast Polk.
