Tasked with being the most experienced player on the PCM girls’ golf team this year, sophomore Breanna Maher will be looked at for more than just low scores for her Mustangs. Maher as a freshman last season was one of the team’s top golfers, and though there’s both a junior and a senior on the team, she will be called upon to provide leadership to a mostly inexperienced squad in 2015. Coach Val Edwards says that added challenge has been accepted by her sophomore star who has shown leadership by example during practices. PCM’s girls tee off for the first time on April 7 at Harvest Point in Oskaloosa versus Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.
