The action continues to heat up for the Central baseball and softball teams down in Tucson, Arizona. The Dutch women settled for a win and a loss in their Monday doubleheader. They dropped a tough 8 – 7 contest to Denison before bouncing back to make quick work of Edgewood, 11 – 0 in five innings. Central softball sits at an 8 – 4 record heading into a break in the action today. A pair of six-run innings did in the Dutch men on the baseball diamond, as they lost to Augsburg, 13 – 3. Central was actually up 2 – 0 after two frames, but a total of five Dutch errors allowed Augsburg to run up the score in a big way. Zach Brown, Andy Carr, and Kirby Coppess each had RBI hits for Central, who falls to 3 – 2, and they have a test with Marian today at 2:30 p.m.
