In the Central baseball team’s first day down in Tucson, Arizona, they ended up on the correct and incorrect side of two one-run games. Zach Zylstra helped the Dutch walk-off in the seventh in their first game against Illinois Tech, taking an 0-1 pitch with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom half of the inning to the left side for a game-winning RBI single. The final score was 6 – 5, in a game where the Dutch trailed most of the way. Zach Brown had a two-run triple to highlight a four-run frame for Central in game two, but they fell, 5 – 4, on a walk-off passed ball in the bottom of the seventh. Central is now 3 – 1 on the year, and they play Augsburg, Minnesota, today at 2:30 p.m.
