The Pella Christian Eagles found no rhythm on the court during their 55-33 loss to Iowa City Regina in the semifinals round of the Class 2A state basketball tournament, which was heard live on 92.1 KRLS. The Eagles didn’t make a shot from the field in the 2nd or 3rd quarter and had 16 points total on the board after three. Assistant Coach Marv Van Wyk says this wasn’t the Pella Christian team he’s accustomed to seeing, and says there were many factors that led to the low scoring output. Pella Christian fell to 17-8 and will try to earn a third place finish when they take on Aplington-Parkersburg, who lost in overtime 74-70 against Treynor. Pregame coverage for the consolation round begins at 11:15 on 92.1 KRLS and kniakrls.com, with tipoff scheduled for 11:45 at Wells Fargo Arena.
