Multiple emergency agencies responded to a call of a white pickup on fire Thursday evening.
Pella dispatchers received a call just before 5 p.m. of a vehicle with flames coming out of the front end in the parking lot next to Whylie Eye Care. Witnesses on the scene told KNIA/KRLS News the front end of the vehicle was fully engulfed as crews arrived. Assistant Pella Fire Chief Joel Braafhart tells KNIA/KRLS News that crews did not determine a cause at this time. The Pella Fire Department was able to put out the blaze within 15 minutes of receiving the initial call. The Pella PD and Pella Ambulance also responded and assisted at the scene. Nobody was injured.
