Shaking the rust off is an early goal for every team in practices and meets at the beginning of seasons throughout the realm of sports. So it’s no surprise that Coach Michael Vint has been working on fundamentals early on with his Pella High girls’ golf team. They’ll be making their way through a tough conference slate with several strong teams, trying to get prepared for the regional tournaments in May. Vint says it may be drab to repeat the basics for an entire week’s worth of practices, but his girls have had a positive mindset so far. The Lady Dutch begin their golf season on Thursday, April 9 at home against Pella Christian and Grinnell.
