This is Dixie Gebhardt Week and Knoxville will be holding a host of activities for Iowa Flag Day this weekend.

Chamber of Commerce President Annie Leonard says it’s important to let people know that Knoxville is where the state flag was born. She says the city has been proud of this heritage and felt the need to add more focus on it and celebrate the event.
The Knoxville Chamber of Commerce and Knoxville Public Library are combining to put on this Saturday’s events. A list of activities for Flag Day can be found here.
